Now that travel is slowly opening up for people to experience the world again, our research reveals that 15%* of global travelers are mostly looking forward to ordering room service again. With banquet and buffet style breakfasts a thing of the past thanks to COVID-19, the floating breakfast has become one of the most popular travel trends of 2021. Travelers can pamper themselves by lounging in and around their private plunge pool while breakfast trays with breakfast delicacies float peacefully on the water.
It’s not surprising that floating breakfast has become a popular trend among travelers. According to our research, a quarter (26%)** of global travelers agree that the accommodation facilities, including swimming pool and food services, are important factors that help them decide where to stay while on vacation. Also, over a quarter (27%)** of global travelers think that breakfast delivered to their room is a very important feature of an accommodation for an enjoyable stay. Our search data even shows that “breakfast included” was the top filter used in searches so far this year.
