Pepijn Rijvers is Senior Vice President of Accommodation at Booking.com, responsible for the growth of the company’s largest core business unit. He has served in key leadership positions within the company, including Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Supply, Head of Content and Head of Business Development. A key leader of the Booking.com business, Rijvers’ expertise across technology and e-commerce has helped the continued expansion of Booking.com’s presence across global markets, property types and segments.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Pepijn oversaw the company’s marketing efforts worldwide and spearheaded the development of new marketing demand channels for Booking.com, the original pioneer of scaled digital demand marketing, and drove key initiatives with brand marketing, sponsorships and new digital advertising partners.
As Head of Supply at Booking.com, Pepijn was responsible for driving growth and regional expansion, leading a team of 3,000 employees across 125+ offices. During his tenure in this role, he more than doubled growth in Booking.com’s inventory in just two years.
As Head of Content, Rijvers developed a deeper understanding of customer preferences on digital and mobile devices and emerging trends in the online travel experience. This translated into Booking.com’s industry-leading Content hub, a ground-breaking initiative that applied algorithmic data to content development on the website in a way that drove business for Booking.com and revenue-increasing tactics for properties listing on Booking.com.
Pepijn came to Booking.com from the financial services industry. Earlier in his career, he founded a web development company, the Convey Group, geared towards e-commerce and e-business applications for large and medium-sized businesses in the Netherlands.
