Live It Up With These Lux Glamping Stays

While many travelers may enjoy getting off the grid and roughing it for a few days, it’s not something for everyone. In fact, a third of global travelers (33%) said they actually plan to book more luxurious accommodations in 2018 than they did in 2017*. But why not book the best of both worlds and stay in a lavish tent, camper or yurt?

We delved into our more than 29 million listings in more than 141,000 destinations across to the world to present some of the best glamping destinations. Experiencing the great outdoors has never been more comfortable...or more glamorous!

Mundomo Glamping – Jericoacoara, Brazil

Located deep in the Brazilian jungles of Jericoacoara National Park you’ll find Mundomo Glamping, the first luxury camp in Brazil. Mundomo Glamping offers exclusive air-conditioned domes with Wi-Fi and views of the pool and the gardens. The crystal clear waters of Jericoacoara Beach and Dune Por do Sol are also only a short walk (or bike ride) away – the perfect spot to watch the sunset. If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, you can even rent a bicycle from the property to explore the exotic surroundings.

La Bergerie Du Plateau - Ardeche, France

Located in the center of the Ardèche Mountains, La Bergerie du Plateau is a restored sheep barn from 1830 that retains much of its original rustic character - think lots of exposed wood and stone. Sitting at an altitude of 1,200 meters (3,900 feet), it features a diverse handful of quirky “glamp” sites such as a wooden caravan, an asymmetric cabin, a Finnish Kota Hut and a dome tent, ideal for a relaxing stay. It all comes together in the perfect balance of simplicity, authenticity and scenery.

Glamping Canonici di San Marco - Mirano, Italy

Located a 25-minute drive from Venice, a stay at Glamping Canonici di San Marco will make you feel more like Venetian royalty than a rustic camper. Each tent has a private bathroom and is uniquely decorated with ornaments and gorgeous furniture from all over the world. The charming and historic surrounding area beckons, nestled in the peaceful countryside between the Venetian Lagoon and the River Brenta, where the Doges and the noble Venetian families once had their summer residences.

Satao Elerai - Amboseli, Kenya

Satao Elerai is a luxurious and eco-friendly safari camp just outside Amboseli National Park. Each of its deluxe tents have beautiful exteriors that complement the surrounding environment. The tents offer breathtaking views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and private verandas overlooking the plains of Amboseli National Park, where elephants, giraffes and zebra can often be spotted.

Camp Silver Island HideAway – Oost, Netherlands

Situated in quaint surroundings on the island of Texel within a 15-minute drive from the North Sea beach, Camp Silver Island HideAway offers modern design accommodation, set in futuristic caravans. No need to fear that you’ll be without modern comforts or conveniences - each camper is furnished with a flat-screen LED TV, heated floors and complementary Wi-Fi, not to mention luxury beds and contemporary designed bathrooms with organic toiletries.

Oxford Riverside Glamping – Oxford, UK

Oxford Riverside Glamping is situated within private grounds adjacent to the River Thames and near central Oxford. Each bell tent is equipped with a double bed, electric heating, charging points and an external fire pit. It’s also within walking distance to Farmoor Reservoir, where you can enjoy outdoor activities like sailing, windsurfing and fishing. All in all, it's an ideal destination for a relaxing and rural getaway (within striking distance of the city).

Lake Nantahala-Smoky Mountain-Yurts – Topton, USA

Located in Topton, North Carolina in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, Lake Nantahala-Smoky Mountain-Yurts offers fully-furnished yurts with river views and the relaxing sound of moving water in the background.
