Budget Breaks for the Easter Holidays

As Easter falls in early April and many people have extra time off, it's a great time to plan a getaway. Because it tends to be a pricey time of year, planning the perfect trip on a budget can be tricky. To give you the inside scoop on how to make the most of your upcoming spring travel plans, we delved into our pricing data* to share affordable city break options in Europe, the US, Asia and Latin America, that compare favourably to prices at the same time last year and won’t break the bank. So whether it’s a romantic trip to Italy with your partner, a family trip to Osaka or a girl’s getaway to Miami Beach, there is something for everyone this spring.

Rimini, Italy

Rimini, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, is a great option for an Easter getaway. Not only is it 36% more affordable when compared to the same days in 2017, the weather is very pleasant this time of year! If you’re a culture, sun or party lover this is a great place for you with its beautiful beaches, hilltop towns, Roman relics and choice of bars and clubs.

Where to stay: Rimini has a great choice of accommodation from budget, to mid-range and high-end stylish stays. We recommend the Nero D'Avorio Aparthotel, just minutes from the beach. You can relax in the garden or the outdoor pool and enjoy a delicious Italian breakfast.

Nice, France

For a little glamour in the heart of the French Riviera, Nice is 15% more affordable this year compared to the same days last year. Spring is the perfect time to go to avoid the summer crowds and travellers can enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Angels, Vieux Nice (the vibrant old town) as well as museums by day and al fresco dining at night in the many great restaurants Nice has to offer.

Where to stay: La Gubernatis is a stunnning apartment and a short walk from the beach, boasting beautiful views of the sea. The host will help you with anything you need, including restaurant recommendations. It’s the perfect spot to take a stroll to the Old Town and visit the local museums.

Miami Beach, USA

Miami Beach lures travellers in with its wild nightlife, sun-kissed beaches and art-deco accommodation. Now that it’s 11% more affordable when compared to the same days last year, it’s a good time to book! Visitors will likely spend their day relaxing poolside and exploring the beach, and by night sampling some of the delicious fusion cuisine the city has to offer before experiencing the unique nightlife – from salsa nights to rooftop bars and wild nightclubs.
