While Valentine’s Day celebrations may look a little different this year, let’s not forget that love should be celebrated all year around! This certainly rings true for 49%* of global travelers who have recently revealed their intention to pick a destination for its romantic atmosphere. That’s why we have shot our Cupid’s arrow to reveal some of the most romantic destinations around the world, based on our traveler endorsement data**, for couples to use as inspiration for their next lovers’ getaway, whenever it’s safe to travel again.

Tepoztlán, Mexico

Tepoztlán, which is one of Booking.com’s top endorsed destinations for romantic escapes, has something for every couple to fall in love with; from the atmosphere, which feels mystical and enchanting due to the stunning mountains that surround the area, to the bohemian town itself, where traditional crafts and tasty sweet treats are sold at the daily market. At night, along the colorful cobblestone streets, plenty of alfresco restaurants pop-up, making Tepoztlán the perfect spot for a candlelit dinner under the stars.

Where to stay: Prepare to be wooed by the Amomoxtli 5-star hotel. From arrival, guests will experience world-class service and top of the range hotel facilities, including a gorgeous outdoor pool with breathtaking views of the mountains. The bedrooms’ interiors ooze luxury too, with most rooms featuring their own lovers’ hideaway; a private garden terrace.

Pokolbin, Australia

Pokolbin, located near the Hunter Valley, where some of Australia’s most sought-after vineyards are located, is a fantastic destination for couples to visit and try some of Australia’s finest wines. It is easy to see why this destination features in our top places for Romantic Escapes endorsed by travelers, as it is not just the wine that draws love birds to Pokolbin, the fine-dining food scene is also thriving, making it the perfect spot for indulging in delicious Australian cuisine on date night.

Where to stay: Set amongst 25 acres of land in the heart of the Hunter Valley is Hermitage Lodge. This premium, boutique hotel has an award-winning Italian restaurant, as well as its very own vineyard where couples can enjoy a tasting experience right on Hotel’s land.

Lissewege, Belgium

When visiting the village of Lissewege you may feel like you are stepping back in history, with its timeless, whitewashed cottages and 13th-century architecture. It is most definitely the medieval charm of this village which makes it one of our most endorsed destinations for a romantic vacation. In the daytime, couples can stroll along the picturesque canal or hire bikes for a scenic ride through the meadows.

Where to stay: For any romanticists who like to get swept up in history, then a stay at the characterful B&B Pronkenburg should be added to the list. The accommodation is an 18th-century manor which even comes with its own moat. The B&B has since been modernized for a truly comfortable stay while retaining some of the manor’s original features.

Moltrasio, which according to our endorsement data is one of the most romantic destinations in the world, is the very definition of a hidden gem. The small, picturesque town, nestled along the idyllic Lake Como, boasts views that are second to none. Where to stay: Overlooking the stunning lake is Como Lake Amazing View - byMyHomeinComo. The clue is in the name given the spectacular vistas from the apartment’s balcony. This also means that couples don’t need to travel anywhere to find a romantic spot to soak up the lake’s tranquillity. The apartments are smartly furnished with a well-equipped kitchen for those wanting to cook up a feast to treat their loved one to.
